What Matters Most

What Matters Most

A Poem by Dorita

 What Matters Most
The wind swept up the hilly area that Shelly went to as a child and she loved going there. It was nice looking over at the town, and the people walking past her. There were families there and she sat and thought about her life. She knew that there were moments of joy, moments that were harder. She thought about people she found, people she lost, and yet, through it all, God was there. She thought about the things she had, and the things she had wanted. She had learnt in the storms of life, that the one who held her hand was, and always would be Jesus. He taught her what mattered in life. That it was Him that mattered, and love. Love, joy and peace were what was to be cherished, and those things you couldn't buy, just hold onto and learn to love, more.
