GiftsA Story by Dorita Gifts Amber walked along a country road, she was walking to where there stood a tall castle and she was bringing something in her hands for the King. She held it tightly and carried it with her as she walked. She got to this tall castle and looked up at the tall walls. Then the doors opened when the King realized it was her. Now Him and this girl had a close relationship and not everyone knew that this girl was His daughter. He walked down the stairs to where she stood and then looked at the gift she brought with her. "Is this for me?", He asked. "Yes, but it isn't much", she replied, and then handed Him the gift and saw his smile approaching. "It is worth something to Me because You are My daughter and I love you." Amber loved hearing this from Him because she often questioned this gift or if she really had it. She was glad now that she didn't hide it and let Him have it. The King told her that she should go and show this gift to the people of this village and Amber now got scared and said, "no, I'm too shy and they might laugh at me" The King now smiled at her and then lovingly said, "They might, but you will always have me that will comfort you. Go and share your gift with people". Amber wasn't sure she should or even could. But if the king told her that He wanted this then she would do it. So she left and shared her gift with people and they appreciated it. It wasn't always the way she wanted it. But it was hers. Later she found out that the king was the one that gave her this and she went back to thank Him one day. And He smiled at her and said, "I gave this so that people would know that you are my daughter and that I am your loving Father." 1 Peter 4:10. "Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms."
