Baby Hands

Baby Hands

A Poem by Riss Ryker
"

The wonder of new life explored and experienced by a newborn.

"

Baby Hands;
Touching, patting, loving.
Living feathers.

Seeking,
wondering, learning, reaching.
Grasping for life.

Loving,
stroking, holding, dimpled.
Gods Creations.

Needing, .
demanding, embracing, delightful,
Waving tiny fists.

Comforting, .
Fluttering, fleeting, fragile.
Precious treasures.

I totally agree with Kelly. You have truly captured the wonder surrounding the birth of child. Everything is so new to them, a magical discovery. I think its amazing to think about the world in those terms. You brought the youthful exuberance of new life to this poem in such a beautiful way.

Riss: I love it: oh how beautiful the writing is; I'm thinking of my children and their tiny once tiny hands - smiling remembering - seeing everything again through your lovely words. Great writing. Dale

Their little hands are quite remarkable, once you watch how amazed they become themselves. It always fascinates me to watch a baby learn how to eat Cheerios...how very carefully they pick them up, one by one, noticing the hole in the middle.

I think you've created something beautiful and quite magical here, Riss. Truly!

I thought of new directions, new beginnings... so many have to start over and some finally get the chance to follow a dream.
