I used to live in Baltimore, and I dearly love the change of seasons. Our mountains here in San Diego offer a wonderful world of change, especially this time of year when there's actually snow!
I really love writing about the seasons in my work, just as much as I love reading about them. I like how you presented this to your readers, how the stanzas revolve, one season into the next.
Good work, Riss!

...and it was in August, a very humid month, if you know what I mean!
i grew up in Syracuse and know exactly what you mean .. i like your use of tercets .. gives your poem a haiku quality .. and i love your mention of the winds .. when it turns from out of the west to the breezy from the south winds .. the scents change and that marvelous hope of spring is the best! tho fall is also my favorite time also ..

I don't think many people realize just how immense it really is! 6 million acres of mountains, streams and forest. Did you know that you can fit many state parks within Adirondack Park, including Glacier, Yosemite, the Great Smoky Mountains, Yellowstone and the Grand Canyon? Check this out!
