Sapphire Skies

My description of a rainbow...

Rainbow bright against dark sky.  Brilliant colors arcing high.  Storm clouds clash with sun’s bright rays,  light is splintered, skies ablaze.  Sapphire skies squeeze drops of rain,  entwine soft, fragile fibers flame.  Colors paint the sky with tears,  whispered raindrops till clouds clear.  Teal blue sky as rainbow fades,  laughing at its soft charades.  Chasing colors through the clouds,  as summer rains on fields abound.  Rainbow hides behind dark skies,  waiting for the sun to shine,  its rays between and underneath,  fragmented in its summer sheath.

Excellent piece.. very powerful description of the subject matter. " Rainbow hides behind dark skies, waiting for the sun to shine, " I particularly like this phrase as it tells the reader that theres always light at the end of the tunnel and that no adversity lasts forever... An incredibly descriptive work.,.. great job!!
