Birth Of A Flower

Birth Of A Flower

A Poem by Riss Ryker
"

Describes the beauty and perfection of a flower.

Gently grows the flower.
Seeking petal perfection on
the wings of a seed.
Mating with the earth
in dark richness,
germinating transcendence.

Evolution bursts free,
spiraling ever upwards
to greet a bright reality.
Unfolding newborns,
velvet in their sheaths of green.

Begging the sky, they drink.
Perfect petals push their way
to efflorescence, lifting satin
faces to the sun in reverence.
Butterflies behold, as blossom

unfolds it’s glory for all to see.
The flower is born and Earth
weeps it’s blessings.
Gently grows the flower./

I LOVE flower gardening. To me, it's watching miracle after miracle unfold before my very eyes. One little seed and some tender care, and next thing you know, you have perfect creation. It's truly a gift from God.

I see your heart and soul here Riss. Indeed flowers of all sorts of colors and shapes are miracles to behold. It sometimes baffles me where in the name of Mike did they get their brilliant colors. Ground and dirt doesn't produce those picture perfect colors. Surely that doesn't happen by chance. Ah perhaps by Divine Design.

Riss...Your piece reminds me of the words of the Lord Jesus who compares the glory of Solomon. In all his riches and wisdom and accomplishments pales in comparison to the splendor and glory of the lilies in the field to which God designed and to which He nurtured. Solomon have everything he could ever wanted in his lifetime. But his riches cause his heart to pursue the god of pleasure and idols.

The lilies of the field are beautiful to the eyes of God for they solely depend on Him for the sunshine and the rain. Thank you for sharing this lovely piece...
