Ashamed to Be Called Human

Ashamed to Be Called Human

A Poem by Eleña ♥ Milan
"

A poem about human-trafficking.

"
These defenseless parents,

Whose empty, vaccumed souls can never breathe, nor dance.
Or journey again in a free and forward-motion through their lives.

Having had one, too often a tiny infant
Snatched.

To fuel a trafficking economy on the rise,
As with the global ant-like population.

It is inconceivable to consider, how a woman might carry one of these

And provide womb as shelter for nine months
And often thrust birth into the light to them.

Has she, or he become
Missing?
We ache, on every occasion that we read, or hear each atrocious act.

The vile, evil hands that destroy a girl or boy's humanity.
And with untainted conscious, disrupt all that is motherly and nurturing

Within the immortal universe.

this was a seriously powerful write on a serious topic.
Human trafficking is a very dangerous and prevalent issue in the world. Victims are left traumatized and badly effected for ever. Its amazing that you use this forum to spread awareness even if its through a poem.
U helped place a person in the shoes of a victim so he'she feel empathy

To lose a small child. Would be a lifetime pain. Your words are sad and true. Human-trafficking is dangerous to the small ones and the older ones. I liked the honest words and real-life thoughts in the poetry. Thank you Elena for sharing the powerful poetry.
