A Poem by Christopher Ross Livingstone

Let it in By Christopher Ross Livingstone
Here I sit in solitude people watching on this wet September day,
in a cafe I hear the chatter but I've succumb unto a reflective heart.
Beating out the pulse my pen capture's my heart
As I write I flow and feel to say how I feel

In a flood of memories,
reflection has taught me clarity,
like the rain drops catches my eyes in a moment of time
Reflections are like ripples in the water,
arising like relaisations from deep within
I thought I have lived but I now know I have feared
I shyed away from love because I didn't know my worth.
every time I saw my reflection in the mirror.
But how could I think that?
My Mum said I was derserving of love.
I have loved but I have been hurt in return.
so I have kept love away from a deserving heart.
Sepetmber, and her song is saying unto me
Let it in!
