Injustice of the Heart

Injustice of the Heart

A Poem by Christopher Ross Livingstone

Injustice of the Heart By Christopher Ross Livingstone
Something yearning
It has been calling
This beating would often go ignored
I wasn't really listening
Altough I heard my intuition
Instead seduction and tempation lured me
I fell into addiction
In addiction
Maifesting behavuours
Impacted my heart
The disconect was real
Compassion no longer steering my compass
Compultion to overeat nearly consumed me
Lost in a void
Spiraling
I would comfort to supress
Emotions were no longer expressed
Instead consuming was difficult to halt
Until I connected to the heart
Where I began to no longer avoid
Seeking the heart is pure
Something within
Willing yourself to surrender and trust in your intuition
Step away from the systemic conidtioning that have led us to addiction
If we don't realign into capssion is an injustice of the heart
To ourselves and each other
