Since you left

Since you left

A Poem by Christopher Ross Livingstone

Since you left By Christopher Ross Livingstone

Since you eft
A sudden moment in time
A life taken so short
The world felt so different
Spaces and places
Sensing and feeling
Shocki and swelling
Grappling grief
Taking me through the stages

When you left
The unimaginable happened
My world was different
The spaces and places
Inward I felt the days in reflection
Echoes from the nurtured memories
Warmed my heart
Although feeling a loss like you

And when you left
Different my spaces and places became
People and interactions
I questioned the deep rooted
Overnight and the time since you parted
My senses to belonging changed
Inside I felt alone at a space I once called home

I know you left
Fading in and out
Sensitive I felt
Craving nurture and a space to call home
To hear your voice one more time
I miss those days
But one day at a a time
Healing will seed
Take root it will bloom

Athough you left
Seems like yesterday
Reflections from head to heart
Leave me feeling nurtured and loved
Your love still remains
