It's the month to reflect upon LGBT History

From struggles and movements

To the moments defining acts of pride and equality

We sit and remember

Our brothers and sisters in history

For today wouldn't exist

Without their pride of heart and humanity

To make LGBT history

Courageously

Every moment counted

From the marches of PRIDE

To the campaigns of solidarity

And at every turn

Unity and community

Only made LGBT history

I remember my own personal struggles

To understand my identity

Coming to terms emotionally

But ultimately accept and understand

My sexuality

But I turn to my brothers and sisters in history

To thank you for your commitment to achieving history

So that I could accept my sexuality and connect to my community
