In the Autumn leaves

In the Autumn leaves

A Poem by Christopher Ross Livingstone

In the Autumn leaves
Leaves falling
Leaves fall in fall
letting go
as they must
to bring us in anew.
In the Autumn leaves
our eyes turn
captivated in splendour
the deep hues
leaves us all enriched
in the Autumn fall of the leaves

In the Autumn leaves
from the fall of the leave
each individual leaf
with a memory
forever shaped
from the life of the tree
In the Autumn leaves,
we stroll,
making memories
hand in hand
as we playfully kick through
the fall of the leaves
In the Autumn leaves
leaving behind
the leaves of old
reflecting on the cycle
of the season turn
In the Autumn leaves
we now wrap up
saying goodbye
to summer heat
in the fall of leaves

Autumn leaves.
with each individual leaf
Now but a distant memory
seasonal festive flavours and sensations
replacing the fall of leaves
And in the Autumn leaves
seasonal cycle of the Autumnal give to us time
periods to reflect
recollect and collect
savouring the times we had
the seasons we lived
and a life that we kissed
now we turn
moving on
saying goodbye
Letting go
Now we can bring ourselves to anew
in the fall of the leaves
