In the tick of time

In the tick of time

A Poem by Christopher Ross Livingstone

In the tick of time
Is time an illusion? Or is it reality?
Time is measured by the click of the clock
And it is seen by the naked eyes upon the watch face
In the tick of time
It's felt through the motion of emotions
So is time an illusion or is is reality?
Time is sensed by many
like It's feeling or dragging us by
In the tick of time,
time teaches us lessons
and it delivers us periods of certainty
and uncertainty
But as the passage of time goes by
We become enriched
Enriched by the tick of time
But through the looking glass,
We measure time through the eyes of the past
And in turn focus towards a future goal of possibility
as the clock bell marks a new
A new year, and a new you
Is time an illusion or reality?
By the tick of time,
second to minute
Minute to hour
And from a week to the passing pages from one month to another
We sway away from the true essence of time
Our perceptions of time is in motion with emotions.
Time is a gift,
A gift that can be sensed through the looking glass of gratitude
In the tick of time
We can sway away
Or
That chime upon the hour
We can be present with ourselves and each other
