Ageless Silence

Ageless Silence

A Poem by Abigail Latoreno
"

One of my darker themed poems. It emphasizes the uselessness of time, memories and emotions when life ceases to exist.

"

Violent equinoctial gales
blew through barren lands.
Long talons of an ancient clock,
it chimes through silent graves.
Rain bettered on the window
on an old death stricken home.
Heartless icy winds pass through its halls,
yet not a soul hear its lonesome cries.
For the dead does not feel;
they do not ponder, do not sense time.
Beneath the dark earth they find their repose
from a darker earth whence they came.
