No hope.

No hope.

A Story by Elliana

There is this little trickle of truth that floats beneath me.

If I'm not careful, my pride might trample the breath of it's entirety.

My ego strikes again.

Punishable on death.

I can't find him, he runs and hids for lengths of time I can not even muster.

The road is tiring, my feet worn with desperation cry outto me.

My hands stretch to the farthest extent. Don't stop, keep going; says the heart in which I hold.

Can you help me?

I cannot find him.

There is a light at the end, there, a ray creeps it's way through.

Catch it!

You are not fast enough, it's too late, that ray of hope challenged you and threw you upon the ground.

Nothing, that is what you are.

Who are you to tear hearts in half?

Who said you could be hateful?

Give them a second chance...."Oh but I have"......I am tired of their excuses.

This was an interesting read. I wasnt' sure what I was expecting but it wasn't what I got at the end. I liked that. It's a sad subject but you've written a good poem on it.
