Betrayed

Betrayed

A Story by Rin
"

When I was in England I had friends who weren't really my friends and that's where this kind of got inspired by.

"

The forest sleeps in the eternal sky. My eyes, wide with excitement as I stare at the moving figures as they drag their slender bodies toward me. My friends have finally come to take me home, back to the sky where you can dance on clouds and feel the wind in you hair. Both figures look at my green, glistening wings. One holds out its hand, eyes glowing red. I smile as I reach toward the long, slender fingers. No, I see them smiling, I scream… my wings have been severed off. The light, again I can't see… The light is now gone and yet I can't believe what I see. I'm home, but without my wings. I smile even though I am in deep pain. I'm home and yet not…
