A Mother’s PatienceA Poem by Herl RodrinThis poem describes a mother's love. Unlimited.Bottomless. I've written this poem for my awesome mom and for all the wonderful mom out there.
When you were a little and we’re in a toy shop, You saw a white animal with whiskers and stopped.
You asked me what’s that? I said that’s a cat.
You said it’s so huggable, And find it so adorable.
You walked around the shop; A few minutes again you stopped.
You saw a white animal with whiskers on the face; You made three little steps to get closer to its place.
Pointing with your fingers you asked, “What’s that?” I laughed and told you, “oh darling that’s a cat..”
You continued looking and found a big box; It’s full of yellow animals and you yelled “ducks!”
But you noticed one animal which is so different; You picked it up and smell its super sweet scent.
Then you ran to me and asked “What’s this?” I kissed you then answered with bliss.
It’s a cat my love, Similar to the one on the shelf above.
I tickled you, And hugged you.
You stared at the cat for a little while, And gave me your wonderful big smile.
Oh my dear child you’ve been curious about cat But I won’t ever get tired of telling you it’s a cat.
