Black loveA Story by Riley MalvinThe deep soothing voice of reason
Dating is a form of romantic courtship, considered as an act of wooing in love or solicitation of a woman to marriage. Typically between two individuals with the aim of assessing the other's suitability as a partner in an intimate relationship or as a spouse. I met this lady at the local library one day. Despondent, she seemed. An atmosphere of low spirits surrounded her poor soul, was it a loss of hope or courage, these thoughts pondered in my head."Is it the flu…",i said, trying to initiate a conversation."You know the one which has been going around.." I continued, with the hope she might open up and feel a bit less sorrowful . As she was sitting she pulled up a fake smile,"that's the least of my problems..", Elizabeth responded.
I had no intentions of engaging in a sorrowful or at least a sad story, that l had to end up being a source of comfort. Not today , Monday wasn't a day for it. She was troubled, felt let down by the ones she thought had her back no matter what happens. "...Is loving someone a crime..." She had fallen deeply. He liked her too, maybe feel the same way as she did. They had been together for a month. She fell too soon? Some say it wasn't wise but what only matters is however both of them feel. And comments will always come, be it positive or negative such is life. She was happy, infact the happiest she's ever been with someone. She explained her past relationships, her dating experience before she met Richard. The first who would ever forget their first. "...selfish, inconsiderate, narcissistic, ungrateful, a bit old fashioned..."was all l picked out as the list went on. She lost all hope, finding a good man seemed impossible. Her dreams shattered, all the fairytales which seemed like reality were nothing but just fictional tales meant for fools. It wasn't only after number two when she sought to enter the man's world,And begin to chase after her own kind, females. He never listened, didn't show any signs of affection. He only wanted to grab a snack every time. "...of-cause l like to eat but should it be all about eating..."she stammered ,while l try to figure out whether the question was for me or was it a question? She linked them both to one common desire, which both men expressed greater need for. © 2015 Riley Malvin |
