In the little girl’s heart

In the little girl’s heart

A Poem by Riley Malvin
"

"didn't see that coming"

"

Sometimes its best to let go,

Life’s taught me that, all the time one has to,

Keep it to myself i have to.

Someone once shared, over a cup of tea,

"What do you do when you into him?”, i eagerly asked.

“I don’t do anything”,puzzled but did not move, instead “great idea”,i followed up, sarcasm, many  might think, but thats what just came out.

“I know it’s stupid”,She highlighted.”But it’s safe. That way I’m  pretty sure I’m not hurting anyone, people around me, even myself”.

I marveled to such intriguing insight.Never had i really thought in such a way.

Her words brought soothing comfort to my soul.

My soul that sought refuge in the little girl’s heart. That of course be something i least expected.

Fascinating how words can open your inner eyesights。
