"For wishing for a fix. . . a spark"-great metaphor. Sometimes, before I have started writing, ideas rush into my head quite violently. They seem like blazing fire instead of a little spark when the fire burns everything leaving me with ashes. In my opinion, that's the worst kind of writer's block and most excruciating.
I hope you get over the writer's block. Best of luck. :-)

Things in my personal life are like an indecisive flamethrower...leaving indiscriminate smoldering ticks of time...blocking any type of extinguisher.

I think it's hard to be as good as always all the time, so we need these blocks to remind us to work harder to become great.

I envy you for your ability to say eloquently in a few words what would take me a 1000 words to belabor. So what I need is a spark--like the one you clearly had when you wrote this.

I don't think I am totally in the clear from the block, but I am in conversation with another WC writer about doing a collaboration. Yikes! It'll be like jumping into a pool with all of my clothes on. I'm glad I inspired you. That'll be $25.00.
Write on! take care...dan

I'm all outta cash now - would you accept ostrich eggs? ;)
Nice work... sometimes it takes just writing anything to get back into that zone. I'm hoping that happens for me soon! Hope all is well my friend :)

You just wrote a poem within your comment. Maybe your block is clear?
Writers block i had that post my operation
I say fight all negativity that could come your way from any external source
I simply just write anyways
and dump what i dislike .... and bit by bit
It all returns
And a little secret
I read Whitman and its so amazing what happens to me .....
I hope this block vanishes away :)

Writer's block again, huh? It always catches up to us it seems, no matter how fast we can run.
I agree with Jacob. Just try and write your way out of it. A quartet. A sextet. Something. Anything. Just to trigger those synapses again. We all suffer from it. In time it always passes, however briefly. I find taking a walk and just observing life passing by can give me some inspiration. I find it is not the ideas that hide in the shadows, it is the words. My other advice is to not try to overcomplicate the process. Trying too hard can only make it worse.
I await your next inspired piece of writing, Dan. Keep up the fight! Take care.

the best way to get rid of writers block is to write our way out of it...as you are doing here...this gets the pen or fingers moving...and the mind will go along, eventually...
we can all relate to this...thanks, Dan.
