a dip into surrealism

defining life:

it’s like riding a bike (but the tires go flat),

maybe you can’t forget, oh--

but can you adapt?

 

sugarcoat the impossible,

look back into your darkest fears;

but just like the sun

you mustn’t stare.

 

our star bids a grand goodnight

drenched in a spectrum of clouds...

so when does this dream

wash up on the shining

beach??

                  and where??

Great work here Dan, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Dream vs. Reality: a surrealistic approach done so well here. The imagery created by your words puts the reader into a dreamlike state, while your question forces us to think realistically. I am reminded of Dali. Subconsciousness evoking our imaginations to ponder our truth about ourselves. Very nice job my friend. Thanks for sharing your artistry.
