My wife Dee's health has improved!!!

This is a sincere thank you for all of the wonderful and sentimental wishes for Dee's health.

My wife Dee was transferred out of Intensive Care Unit about a half-hour ago into a unit with far less urgent care allotted. With any luck she will be coming home in 4-6 days!! I really want to thank you all for your kind wishes, your prayers and your offers of empathy and friendship. You folks are all the greatest and I love you all for what you've done. I'll never forget your kindness and I want to tell you all: I OWE YOU ONE!!! Thanks! take care...dan

She has a bad case of COPD, plus her blood pressure was down to 91/58, PLUS her blood contained way too much carbon dioxide and not enough oxygen. She was in Intensive Care from Satruday afternoon till today. She still can't breathe without oxygen and she is in danger of having a stroke, her low BP makes her fall down....and that's THE GOOD NEWS. I was overwhelmed because I knew she was near death, (probably still is, but not as close) and I'm lost without her in my life. Thank you for asking. dan

It's a deal, Dan! I had lobster yesterday (a couple of big ones I set aside while hauling pots yesterday morning) and they were delicious. I've had lobster on salad, on a sandwich and in a bisque but never on a pizza... sounds interestingly delicious :)

Okay, FT...this is it. Set up a canvas for painting a portrait (just do it, this is like a cartoon). Now, paint a guy that looks like a real peasant; old, bent over, slovenly dressed, tattered whaler's hat. Now you have to add sound (hire a sound engineer) add the sound effect of the old man's stomach growling. Now, draw a circular thought balloon over the man's head. His name is Tucker, he's a white-eyed conure, smart as a whip, and like most pets he has a sense of when something's amiss. He behaved himself so well from Saturday to today; when I told him "Mummie's coming home" he flew right to my shoulder and took a big dump on me. That's "I Love You," in conure-talk. Well I know he wasn't "marking his territory," he's 23 years old and his territory is the whole house. Dee and I had to come to terms with that fact many years ago. We've often thought of charging him rent...if he could sign a lease we'd have him contained; he acts like he CAN'T, can you believe it? Our ferret riki is dumb as a bag of slide-whistles, no rent from his....but he's so damn entertaining! I can talk "ferrets" with you all night...my younger brother had one. I came home one night, and found this animal in a cage, not knowing what the hell I was looking at!! They are the coolest little guys!

Seriously, pop some popcorn, throw 6 feet of vent hose on the floor and watch the ferret lose his marbles. Then take him to the tub, give him a bath and watch as he turns into a pencil with hair. Dan, my belated wishes for the best. I too am sitting in a hospital with my spouse, but ours was a planned surgery. It's still stressful but nothing like what you are going through.
