A great reminder to keep going even when the goings get tough, or seem impossible. All of us do find ourselves emerged in the routine that we forget that there is more to life to explore, love, and live. Even through tears we can still see the sunshine.
Thank you for sharing this with us. :D

Hey, I know I don't review my fair share of your stuff, it would help greatly if you could toss a few read requests my way. That would GUARANTEE a review. BTW, such a beautiful line you wrote: "Even through tears we can still see the sunshine." I'm going to have to plagiarize that for my own use. (kidding...) I was writing a review for a piece about heartbreak the other day when I came up with this like: "The heart that has never been broken has never been touched." I WILL be using THAT in the future. Thanks again for your kind words. take care...dan

A very encouraging write my friend!
"Stand up and fight,
Don’t ever back down,
Just plant your feet and heart
Deep in the ground…"
I love those lines... great write!

This write it amazing and so motivational it goes with this song perfectly.
One of my favourite songs that i have blaring in my ear while doing my Physical Therapy!
Sometimes you can fall so hard but you have to dig deep, find that little spark to ignite and get ya butt moving!! Couldn't agree more and this is going I'm my library so i can read it to help me get moving the days where the pain sometimes make it too hard!!
If you haven't figured this out yet...i love this Dan.! {:-)

I'm glad that the write (and song) puts 'a little hitch in your gitty-up' (an old cowboy term) The way my problems often weigh me down I feel I HAD to write this; it goes into my own library (thank you for yours, BTW) and will try to keep the message mobilizing me in my low times. Thanks again! take care...dan

Some days I just feel so beat up by life.
Like I keep pushing forward but am then thrown back.
When I'm low, I find the will buried in my heart and it keeps me moving on.
Great song, I have songs for just about every major experience in my life.

Some of us need a little more motivation to get up and get headed in the right direction. This write was for me, but I'm hoping a reader or two can derive some impetus from it to move them forward also. Thank you for your always on point insight. take care...dan
Really liked the format you used, it fits this poem well. I feel like this poem could be used to motivate many people to get going, and the song attached is great as well.

Listen, I know you write stories and chapters and books, and I told you of my difficulties, but I don't want to leave this writing/reading relationship one sided. Please send me read requests and I will at least TRY to review it and let you know if I am unable. And if you ever write some shorter pieces (poems and such) then that would be all the better. Thank you for your insights on this piece. take care...dan

Love the way you qualify your call to arms, Dan: make sure you are on the right side... so true... if you are going to put all that passion into fighting those demons that keep you down, better make sure it is for the right reasons... some things are definitely worth fighting for... I also love the universality of this piece, too, as it could motivate any of us who need that little extra push to get off our asses :)

I don't think I've ever written a rallying cry like this before. Sometimes complacency can set in and it's so easy to sit and watch life marching past you...extra motivation can move one to rise up and join in the fray. Get one's hands dirty. I hope this piece can give the reader the same visceral push it gave to me. Thanks once again for your insight. take care...dan
this feels to be about holding on to faith
and being courageous in the face of life's hardships
about choosing sides
and finding your place in the midst of it
another good poem from you Dan
and an encouraging one
