A Love ForbiddenA Poem by danto love a married man? scandalous love triangle? let's write a poem....
Scrambling through all dusky thought
The motion of a stealthy love
Darting in and out and fraught
With doubt,
A headstone on the plot of pain.
Desire seldom follows rules as it
Skirts the outer brink of truth,
One’s youth may seem to excuse
The brashest passion,
The fervent hopes resounding with
The hollowed call of propriety
In need.
The obvious facts are brushed away,
The forensic traces of troubled truth
Can cloud all judgment, an ethical question
Cluttered by the hope of youth.
The wrong seems right
With signals crossed.
