"nothing more to see here, folks....just walk away (from the devastation)"

your aura chased me down

and dragged me back in

from the cold,

but then the welcome act grew old

you pulled the slickened mat

to watch me fall.

so now, while breathing fire you fan

those flames to

make them grow;

would you please back off?

just walk away,

just leave and let me go.

 

the pride you’ve made me swallow,

choking strangles

me within.

the heart that’s in my throat,

beating slower, ever closer

to demise.

so now, while looking backward, I’ve got

no substantial reason

to forgive;

please see it in your heart again…

then just walk away

and let me live.

Mmmmmmm ....this is a hard one. If the walking away is a request to someone else, one may be at the mercy of a vindictive soul.....

Quicker solution? TO be the one, walking away.

I have definitely been in situations in which people didn't seem to get it...that I need them gone, but they kept pestering me until they finally got it. It is frustrating for both parties I suppose. For the one who just needs his piece and quiet. For the one who needs closure, who has hard time letting go.

It's never easy walking away, and I'll be the first to say that I'm terrible at it. Though I tend to always be the one that someone walks away from, rather then being the one that needs to walk away.
