bridges span gaps in land masses, or gaps in relationships...how far dose one venture across a bridge too see that there may be no connection in sight?
"the valleys, ever reaching toward
the treetops, draped with sighs
align and synchronize the disparate musings in the mist"
There's a depth to your writing, Dan, that you really excel with in these longer pieces. Impressive work, indeed!

I find such mystery and beauty in this piece
Like a work of art
Its only meant to be seen and loved for far
Only then does one see it and truly find in it all that was once lost in a soul
And in the moment a connection is made
The bridge you speak of
That comes with distance and time
And you seem to have covered both elements with finesses eloquence and gentility
A write from heaven ..... Thank you for sharing it

Yes, the distance between one heart and another can often be clouded causing us to try and bridge the gap only to find that there was nothing there to begin with. An apt metaphor to examine this phenomena, Dan. Well-done!

and you did one fine job of using the metaphor to explore the gaps in relationships and how we overcome them.

Coming from you, who I consider a master of the metaphor I take this as a high compliment. take care...dan
You've once again proven yourself to be a wonderful writer, and definitely one of my favorites on here. I've thought of bridges in relation to relationships but I've never really seen anyone write about it in that manner. I very much enjoyed, dan. ^-^

I've used the idea of bridges in many writes over the years, it is such a versatile word in a poetic sense. Thank you so much, I am honored by your compliment. take care...dan
Another fine poem Dan, you seem to be in a 'creative flow' I really love this poem. Well thought out and expertly written. Keep it up my friend.

I don't really know about the creative flow thing, I almost junked this one till I finally thought it was at least presentable. It's odd to me that the pieces that I consider marginal at best are the ones that seem to get the most favorable responses. I guess I'm my own worst critic. I appreciate your kind words and thank you for making me see what others may be seeing. take care...dan

did not express the feelings that I wanted for such a beautiful piece. Thank you for sharing.

I went to your page to see what I could review, but all I came across were stories. I will try to get to them but I have a MH condition that inhibits my concentration and focus on long pieces. I feel s****y when I have to write these words, so I will definitely try, hopefully you may have some brief stories I can review. Thank you, my friend, and I'm sorry if I can't reciprocate. take care...dan

I really think I only have two real type stories. Most of my work is short and I have in the last two days been trying to expand that. I also have issue with long pieces. You I expect will see some common ground between us as you read some of my work. thanks.
