the darkness of light

dark and light, black and white...interchangeable?

when darkness is surrounding you it’s tough to see the light

that emanates from divinity, the path from wrong to right.

though struggling hard to see this light it’s made so very easy,

to stray and go the other way, embracing the dark and sleazy.

 

the darkness will corrupt you and trick you with its guise,

just to lead you to a place you view with dread surprise.

this darkness is unbreakable, it traps you in its grip

and screams at you, “regret your choice, we’ve got the final script.”

 

when darkness is surrounding you

and tightening the ropes,

you realize that the one way out

is dashed, with all your hopes.

FT, Darkness and light are seemingly at odds with each other, but the spectrum can alter the light like a prism, bringing the two much closer together in some lives. The two extremes can converge into one convenient hybrid of the two. It is where most of mankind often dwells. Thank you for your review. take care...dan
