a mystery mood and all questions asked

Tell me now, darlin’

What’s this mood you’re in?

When does the healing begin,

And what’s going on?

 

Do you remember all the hills that we climbed,

The ones that belonged to me

And the ones that were so easy to tame in the rain?

Do you remember how we said it would be?

I still remember how you envied me…

Now what’s going on?

 

Now there’s a steady beat in my brain,

An urge to be gone

Realizing you would remain,

Drifting in and out of sinfulness

With no apparent willingness…

Is that what’s going on now? Again?

 

Drop in when you want to, my place is yours,

All doors are open wide now,

And the question to decide now…

Which way is the answer to all of our queries?

Just an odd, abstract theory…

Now what’s going on?

I have to confess that I have been on the other side of this story from time to time.....u meet a person and they bare it all to you, they change a lot for you, and then one fine morning you realise that there is nothing more to this person, that you have reached a dead end. A little bit of mystery does not hurt anyone. Many a times it is curiosity that draws people together and the end of it that pulls them apart..

A very realistic poem, I felt.

lynn, oh that's one of those unknowable answers...sometimes when you're chasing a goal even if you don't reach it you got farther than you would have had you NOT chased the goal. I guess it's nature's/genetics' way of saying, "Sometimes finishing 2nd is not bad" or some s**t like that. Thank you for the read/review

Yay 4Nb - the local rave venue finished with Whats Up every Saturday night - what an anthem. Then the lights came on and anyone on Ecstasy freaked out (okay I meant to say the whole club freaked out) heh heh.

"What we have here...is a failure to communicate !" - not your poem Dan it communicates very well. If only we were telepathic - how much strife would we avoid - but then again we are supposed to be telepathic with those we know arent we?

Telepathic? A sixth sense? ("I see dead people?") So much of communication is non-verbal, we don't realize what our expressions and actions give away about us, do we? The institution of love can be a dark place in which we find ourselves struggling to determine what is going on, never really understanding it all, especially when there are crumbs of doubt laying about. I like the way you posed this question and the accompanying video is of a song that brings back memories. Nice write dan - hope you find the answer.

FT, Thank you. Life is filled with questions, some fly by without the answer being revealed. These are learning moments, when we have to figure it out by ourselves. If we don't learn to find the answer to the questions that stump us, how will we ever navigate through life's twists and turns? Good question! take care...dan
