seven inches of springA Poem by dansomeone tell all of us in Indiana, pa that it's springtime...I dare yaseven inches of spring
woke up to ‘nothing shocking’ out in my front yard seven more painful inches, with icy covering, hard… not a thing to spring, not a thing to guard, the shining yard, like shimmering mirrors shattered, tattered into prickly shards, no such thing….as spring.
blinded sky all draped in gray such a day, no other way… i scream and shout, nothing to say… to pray for warmth and envy will allow the gray to stay not back away.
seven inches, maybe more many more may be in store… ol’ man winter’s favorite w***e running, screaming thru my door can’t be ignored…
