truth

when trust is elusive and bare

truth

 

when deception is present

all trust is for sale,

and her lies reveal far more

about her than her lineage or bearing

ever could.

 

she startles awake nights

and seemingly can breathe right

through me,

her eyes, her only truth.

This is true the eyes tell all, even when words do not.
Lies are horrible. I despise them.
World would be a much better place if people could be honest.

As I sit here the Australian Open is on TV, if you're there wave to the cameras! kidding....I agree that lies are bad, but they are sometimes more plentiful in a relationship than the truth. A built-in lie detector would help, though it may reveal more than we wish to know. I have bookmarked your page and sent a friend request...I hope that you accept. I'm quite a bit older than you seem to be, but my mind is young and compassionate..oh, and animals are a great love of me and my wife also. We currently have a white eyed conure (bird) and a ferret named riki. My REAL name is dan, riki just a tribute pen name. take care...dan

Yes im not a fan of lies, Im straight out and honest always :)
I usually don't accept from people allot older then me, but I think I can make an exception for a great writer.

When deception is present.... Indeed, deception and truth can never fuse, and usually, the former always seems to be wearing the crown of victory whenever the two conflict.... You write well.
