Tea For OneA Poem by Rie Sheridan Rosethis came to me when I saw a vanity plate go by one day...
I'll wait no more for romance. It isn't worth the price. I'll sell my soul for no one, despite the world's advice.
And you may think me lonely, as I sit at tea for one, but I wrap myself in satin, and I cater to no one.
Sometimes I'll take a lover should I feel the need for spice but I'll give my key to no one for Love rolls loaded dice.
And when the world winds down at last and I decide that will suffice, I'll sleep in peaceful silence, my heart encased in ice... © 2009 Rie Sheridan RoseAuthor's Note
