I've been watching a family of fledglings mature from the time they were just naked heads over the top of the nest. They are big enough to fly now. This is a tribute to my babies.
I've been a teacher in a primary school for many years now, but I don't have any children of my own. Each year, I see one batch leave the nest, and the next batch take their places. I can only hope I've made a difference in their lives. Actually, I'd be happy to know I didn't mess them up!
And yet, it begs the question: are they ever really grown up in our eyes?

I'm a Texas girl, born and bred. I have a bachelor's degree in Technical Theater, and another in Asian Studies. Learning is one of my favorite hobbies. :) I am the eldest of four sisters, and that was.. more..
