Chapter 1: History Class

 

“Ok class,” the teacher said while she’s getting an attention of her class. “Class? CLASS!!!!” she hit the blackboard with the stick. Everyone looked at her and remained silent. “Ok. As I was saying earlier, you’ll have a group project.”

“Aww!!!” everyone groaned about that project thing.

“I hate those projects especially about History.” June said while putting a pink nail polish on her nails.

“Yup. I agree to her.” John agreed to June and winked at her. June didn’t mind what John did because for her, John is nothing compared to her boy friend, Paul.

“Ok.  This what will you do. I’ll~” While the teacher is discussing the instructions, Lei and Allyza are chatting.

“Look at her, so stagey,” Allyza said with disgust. “I really hate girls who are… like her.”

Lei agreed because she hates June much and the other girls who act girlish too much. On the other side of the classroom, there is Mykel who kept on doodling skulls on his notebook. And Michelle noticed it while licking her lollipop.

“What is that?” Michelle asked while pointing Mykel’s drawing.

“Oh these,” he showed his nice drawing of skulls.”Just skulls.”

“Really?” Michelle grabbed the notebook from Mykel. She stared at his drawing and she’s amazed it is drawn beautifully. “Wow! Nice drawing. Even though I hate skulls, I like how you drew it… Oh, sorry.” She returned the notebook with a smile.

“That’s ok.” He smiled back.

The teacher noticed that everyone didn’t listen again so she grabbed her stick again and hit the board. “Class, if you want to finish this class , just listen to me.” everyone listened to their teacher just to finish this boring class. “Ok.” She take a deep breath and continue her discussion. “The first ten I’ll announce is the first group.” She looked at her list and said what’s on it. “Lei…Allyza…Marcuz…~”

“Yehey! We’re on the same group.” Lei said excitedly. She gave a high five on Allyza.

“Oh man!” Marcuz said. “I’m with the two besties.”

“Lily and Neil.” Said the teacher while catching her breath cause she said those names in fast.”Next is…” she looked at her class again if everyone is listening. “Whoa! A miracle.” She said to herself after seeing that everyone is listening.”Ok here it goes… The second group is Marc, Justin, Mykel, Ariel, Sam, June, Mariah, Eliza, Emy and lastly Vernice.” She said but this time not on the fast way.

“Oh no,” Mariah said. “Not with them!” She remember how girly June is, how quiet Vernice is, how irritable Eliza is. Almost all of the negative things, she thought about their group. “How unlucky I am.” She said to her seatmate and her best friend Lily.

“That’s okay.” She said while comforting Mariah. “Well at least, its just for some days and you’ll never have to stay for long with them.”

“Well, you’re wrong with that.” The teacher said while staring at Lily. “The group of Ms. Mariah will stay at least a overnight to fix the whole room filled with the history of the school.”

“NOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!” Mariah said to herself.

“Oh... Well.. GOOD LUCK!” Lily smiled at Mariah.

While Mariah is thinking what worst things will happen, Eliza is already taking down some notes about their project. She keep on thinking on what she can do about their project and she can’t let it down. “Hmmm…” she said to herself.

Camille is looking at outside while the teacher is discussing it. “Hmm... What should I do after class?” she already thinks about eating on the canteen and after that she’ll go home after.

“Ok, Class Dismissed.” The teacher said and after she fix her things and said to herself. “Finally!” Everyone is going outside and talk to each other.

Eliza try to talk on each of her group mates and tried to meet them all on the rooftop. Eliza texted her group mates about their project.

For all of my group mates, lets meet at the rooftop, 1 pm.

 

After Justin read this, he smiled and eat his lunch with his pal Ariel. “Let’s go to the rooftop later for the project.”

“Oh that,” Ariel said. “I don’t feel like going. I have so many things to do.”

“Oh come on! It’s our project.”

“Ok, ok. Then let’s eat.” Because Justin is such a good guy, all of the things just like project, he wants to do it and Ariel is left with no choice.

“So bored to go there.” Mariah said after reading the text.

“But still you have to go.” Lily’s trying to make Mariah go to the meeting because she’s worried about Mariah’s grades. “Just go.”

“No! I don’t want to.”

“Ok… Ok… I’ll go with you.” Lily’s left with no choice but to join Mariah in the meeting.

“Ok, I’ll go to.”

“Ok.” Then the two of them skipped on the corridor.

On the canteen, Vernice is running and she didn’t notice that she’s going to bump Marc.

“Ouch.” Vernice said. Her books fell and Marc helped her to pick her books. Marc noticed the title of the book. ‘A Walk to Remember’.

“You’re reading this?”

“Yup.” Vernice smiled and get her book from Marc. “Thanks for picking it up for me.”

“You’re welcome.”

“Oh, I have to go.”

“Then, how about the meeting?” Marc noticed that Vernice didn’t have any idea about the meeting.

“What meeting?” Vernice asked.

“On the rooftop, 1 pm. Didn’t you receive the text?”

“No. Hmm… But thanks for reminding me.” She smiled at Marc but she’s kinda curious why she didn’t receive any text message. “Ok bye for now. See you later.” Vernice walk away and Marc waved at her.
