Of Engagement

I never knew that love had legs,

that walked upon reflections,

I never knew two people could own time

just for themselves.

I never knew relinquish was the tarnish

of beginning,

I never knew that seconds drown in light

within the wisp.

Eons always will be broken thorns

upon becoming,

just as liquid shadows bear the

stillness of our fate.

Fall with me through glimmer in the sun night

of the wayward,

ever on the dawning that be stills the love

we yearn.

Gleam with me forever on the shoreline

of engagement,

wish shall not forsake us in the lips

of our embrace.

I love this love poem. Fall with me through glimmer in the sun night. This is my favorite line in the poem. You always write such beautiful love poems. As always another wonderful piece you have created
