ForeverA Poem by Antonio Valentino
Forever
Why is it the more we know the less, we understand?
Why is it that you don’t know that you are the light in my sky and, the moon in my night, the one that pulls the tide of oceans from the deep, within my eyes.
Why is it the more we’re loved the less we can withstand?
It’s the heights that we’re brought to that break us in fall.
And yet you are the one, with my blood, do I scrawl.
I can’t take this anymore, this chance of repose and perdition to the valentine, of our twain.
I can’t abide the storm of whether, or not the cast of fate; the for, of got of all that, can, remain.
Let me go to flee my yore and find, the feel I lost.
Grant me safe and cherish upon, bridges I may cross.
Goodbye my love I’m leaving now so kiss me, one last time.
The only way I will come back, if you’re, forever mine.
