Jell-O Misery

Jell-O Misery

A Poem by Rich Horror

Inky darkness hanging heavy
Thick and gelatinous
Eyes open and unseeing
Chained to the wall by failure

Struggling to raise arms
Search blindly for a door
Knowing at a moment's notice
Hacked off clean and precise

Every year of regret
Resting and crushing
Squeezing the chest cavity
Beep, beep, bee--
