Tie Dyes on The Dadaists Wall

Tie Dyes on The Dadaists Wall

A Poem by Richard Lane
"

experimental

"
21 years is not too long a
time to remember how the healing energies
of a song that could
make you dance,
and cry and laugh all in the same place you
were sleeping in
on that day when you wondered when the
crossroads of your life
would take you from the things you were dreaming
of doing at the age
of 21 before you got the notion that being emotional
was somehow a sign
of weakness
but I would say it's a sign of strength to cry in order
to get all of the negatives
out of your body, and your soul, and your mind, and
most of all your heart.

I remember 21... an age of self discovery... to be free to roam the world, finding yourself testing the waters...Love this piece.. Thank you for taking me back to that moment in time.

i could see this being read aloud. pausing for effect after "weakness", after "heart".. speaking to the eyes in the crowd. .. speaking to their weaknesses, speaking to their strengths.
