Tblisi Georgia

Nino Togonidze is one of my newest friends. She lives in Georgia near Russia and the two poems were written by me as a thank you for her kind words to me. I appreciate kind people.

Tblisi, Georgia 

in the cool air and underneath your warmth

there is nothing better than having 

a friend nearly

half way across the globe,

and I would walk 

there just to see her for one

day and do nothing except to thank

her for accepting

my friendship 

and then read a poem 

to her before I headed home back in 

Baltimore, Maryland

Nino Togonidze

my right thumb has no tendon

or muscle which makes it impossible for 

me to either draw or paint a portrait 

of a person such as

my new friend

Nino Togonidze,

who lives in 

the nation of Georgia

in Europe and

the light play of the color to the right 

of the screen provided

me with an excellent backdrop for a

new poem that was taken from

the lines of another poem I wrote 

over a month ago perhaps. 

With that having been said

I humbly share this

piece of art I created mostly because 

I had the chance to do so 

Author's Note

the poem was written out of friendship and is in keeping with the traditions of
Robert Frost, William Blake and e.e. cummings. i also corrected a few sentences and phrases I added in the middle and near the end of the word line. I'm also thinking of visiting England which is my ancestral home. No wonder I like almost all things British including Tracy Ullman.
