Sharon of Laurel Canyon

Sharon of Laurel Canyon

A Poem by Richard Lane
"

A fictional paranormal poem with a slight nod to the Actress Sharon Tate

"

when i saw your whispy shadow

in the mirror

the only thing that shocked me was

how unafraid

i was when i saw you smiling as i

was standing in

what was once your walk in closet

and then

kissed me on the cheek after thanking

me for being

kind enough to leave flowers on the

table in the house

where you lived and then died

in 1969 two months

before i was even born

Richard Lane
my intent was to explore the paranormal from a less scary angle.

This is an intriguing poem. I well remember when the murders at that house happened. It was a death of innocence for many of us who had never had to consider that type of crime. So sad. I think you did a great job on this. I love how you presented her as thankful for fresh flowers, rather peaceful.
