Fortune Cookie Logic

A Poem by Richard Lane
"

dedicated to my great friend Petra.

"
there are days
when all you want
is to walk along
the empty coastline
of a beach somewhere
as you carry in your hand
a book by dorothy parker
listening to the
birds and the dolphin's as they
seem to be singing in
one voice that sometimes the holding
of a loved ones
hands is a much more satisfying way
to communicate than
either a mobile phone or a laptop
because eventually
those machines will become obsolete
and then our human race
will have to find out how
to say I love you
face to face all over again

I guess it's your inner voice to be hearing instead of the lovely books of Dorothy Parker.
Again here the perfect searching for balance, in between the modern world, and purity. I love to gamble here, in between your thoughts. They are where I was a several years ago, exactly when I was 23, now I'm 30.

What matters is love, pure love, richness in mind, all those material nonesens are easily gone when you've reached pure luck.

When I lived in Naples, South Italy, I saw a family with 10 persons in total in a room of 4.x 4. meters with one 2 persons bed, and the rest slept around even on the street, because there was no space anymore... since then I knew.... I have it good. I do not want to complain anymore. (hey not that you're doing) your poetry is just the gem of all... lovely write....
