Temptations

Temptations

A Poem by Kris
"

I wrote this to address the common but overlooked problem of self harm. I hope this puts it in perspective for all you idiots that think cutting is "just for attention".

"

Look at it laying there

It's cold surface grinning.

Waiting for you to no longer care

as your hope is thinning.

You lift it from the table

and hold it to your skin

tears falling to the ground

as the blade digs in

Your flesh is splitting

and your will is quitting

as the crimson rain begins

to fall from your wrists

and down upon your shins

You feel alive.

Like you're finally out of that nightmarish hell of a life

But there is only one end to come from this beginning:

When it's will versus blade,

The blade is always winning.

I'd like you all to keep an open mind and I'd prefer no criticism on the subject. Otherwise advice and feedback are (as always) more than welcome.
Thanks for reading.
