Extra Story: Please Forgive My Selfishness

I’m Hidari Yomi, a year 5 student from Karasuma Elementary School in Tokyo.

Because many things happened and the weakness I have, my new coach gave me an extreme and unpredictable training menu today. It’s to date a stranger. Not just a stranger, but a CEO’s son! I don’t know why my coach appoints this boy to be my training partner.

My coach transferred us to a simulation city that is very similar to Tokyo city. I’m impressed by the system that he created, but I know it’s not the time for that.

“This is also my first time going out like this with a girl.”

Say Glen. He’s the D-Star Company CEO’s son.

I can’t help but blushed. Not because I like him or something. It’s because this is also my first time doing this.

“Why did you obey him?”
“Did you mean Shirogane-san? Well… it’s just a feeling, but I’m sure I will get something I am lacking for with accompanying you. Though I don’t know what I am lacking.”

That is certainly the exact same reason as mine. Though I know what I am here to. He believed in coach that much. That’s why he can be relaxed even though he has to do something annoying like this.

“I think I will believe in coach too.”

I said while gazing at the sky.

“Then, I also want to know what happened. I will ask later to Shirogane-san. For now…”

He grabbed my hand.

“Let’s enjoy today’s date~!”

He said playfully. But I know he is not a bad person.

I blanked and my feet following his footsteps automatically.

I never know a boy’s hand could be this different from mine.

But no matter what happened, I couldn’t bring myself to look directly at his eyes.

Time by times goes. He treats me. He leads me. He did many kind things to me.

This is already on 15:00.

We had lunch that coach sent to us under the tree at a park.

I ordered some onigiris and water. Glen ordered fried rice and an Ice tea.

“Kuuu~h! The aroma of the onions is refreshing my eyes as expected~!”

He said happily while removing the cover.

“Yeah…”

I said while chumming some of the onigiris.

“Ku~h! As I expected, this is delicious!”
“Yeah…”

I don’t know what to say. I just nodded and eating peacefully.

“Here, try some, Hidari-san!”

He offered a spoon of his fried rice to me. I refused. I said that it will be indirect kiss, so he understands and gave up on that, knowing it’s rude.

“I’m sorry…”
“What?!”

I am shocked. Why would he apologize to me?

“Well, it seems like you don’t having fun while talking to me... although I have confidence that I can make you smile…”

He covered back the fried rice tightly without finishing it.

“That’s…”

I can’t say anything though I want. I screamed that it is not true in my heart. But as I expected, I can’t be honest to male strangers.

I ran away from him to the outside of the park. He didn’t chase after me and still sulking under that tree. I wouldn’t ask why. If I hope for him to chase me, it’s not fair.

Step by step to the outside, the scenery changed. The sky turned red. The humans that supposed to be AI were gone.

I found a monster fighting with other monsters.

I found my clothing became armors.

“What’s this?”

I asked. Why everything became like this.

I stepped back slowly. I don’t want them to notice me. But it’s too late.

A wolf-shaped monster is coming at me. I’m scared that my legs won’t listen to me.

I hope…

I know it’s not fair, but…

“Someone, HELP ME!!!”
“As you wish, Hidari-san!”
“Eh?”

Glen appeared slaying the wolf in front of me with a sword of laser. His clothes were also weren’t the same as before.

“This must be a system error or something. Or maybe it was Shirogane-san’s doing. Changing the mode as he likes… he sure is slick!”

I ran away to him and bumped all my body to him and hugged him.

“I’m sorry…”
“For what?”
“For running away. For not responding to you! The truth is, this is the first time I have fun in a long time.”
“I see. It’s fine.”

He patted my head and hugged me back. I cried all out.

I know that I was selfish. But at least, forgive myself that was selfish.

Then, the red sky back to blue and all monsters disappeared.

“As I expected, it was Shirogane-san’s doing. Isn’t this is the time for you to get away from me? You are afraid of men, right?”
“At least, let me do this a little bit longer…”

I am scared. I grab his clothes tightly. I look at her eyes for the first time. I realized that his eyes were sparkling like the space.

I don’t know how to act but to cling at him.
