I Moved

The request I accepted: bring a spirit to interact with humans just like living human.

I arrived in front of a dorm. The dorm's situation was very creepy. It was very silent. Even I can't find any animals around there, not even one.

According to the report from that teacher, a murder case one year ago involved a student that supposed to move here. Thinking of that can fear many people, even animals were feared too.

But I was different. Because I decided... that I would protect her. Being scared of that thing will make me just a coward.

I've accumulated my brave and step in to the dorm.

I opened the gate door and find the dust flew away striking my nose and make me cough. As expected from a dorm that never touched for a year.

Leaving the gate door opened, I explored the inner side of the dorm. It supposed to be living room if I opened the middle door. I'm sure because it's written on the door.

The other side of the door... it was shocking for any people, even aliens would be shocked if they entered this room.

There was a rack of light novels, mangas, even animes arranged in three racks.

"Is this room really heaven for otaku?"
"What are you doing here?"

Suddenly, a girl appeared beside me.

"..."
"What's wrong?"
"Is it my imagination that you showed up and startled me!"
"Sorry~ it's been a year since someone came here~ even if there are someone come, they only noticed my existence if I making fuss. You're the first one who can see me clearly."

At this moment, I realized. Her name was Karakuri Yuri, the one who assassinated a year ago. So the information was real. That teacher already know that Yuri's spirit still here ever since that incident.

For now, I will get back to the request. Make her feel life once again. Release her from her regrets with my own way.

Being otaku for 5 years make me confidence at bringing up conversation, since daily life are my favorites genre. I also played some galge when I get bored, even though I can't count how many galge I played until this moment.

I stopped talking in my first sentence. I saw her reading manga while laying on the sofa. 'Angel Beats!-Heaven's door', I know that manga's quite amusing. It takes place before the anime projec... te- this isn't time for explaining!

But when I tried to shout at her, I can't do it. Her eyes sparkled like cat eyes in front of night light. Her eyes showed me that she really enjoys living here. But her life was ended a year ago... who want to live. She stayed here, in this world, in this dorm. Unlike me, she didn't make any mistake. Unlike me, she's not an idiot.

I will help her, not as a request, but as my private reason. I want to grant her wish. And I want to let her move on to the other world.

Ah... I make a mistake. It's already 18:17. I used the wrong bring up conversation style. As expected from an idiot. But, saying myself idiot is kinda feel weird.

She glared to me like she was waiting for boring ceremony speech. It's cold, but since it's my fault for getting too much confidence.

"When is the last time you talked to the opposite sex?"

I grabbed her left hand and put the ring on her middle finger.

Judging from her tone, she intended to tease me.

"If you want to solve your problems, you better shut your mouth! 'ADJUST!'"

I spelled the activation code and the ring adjusted it size to Yuri's middle finger.

"Ehem..."

I turned my head to the door. What I saw there was a woman. She's Karakuri Kazuki, my client. In other words, she's that teacher.

I bring it to Yuri by walking step by step, even though she's still hiding behind the sofa.

Her stomach rumbled, it's true that body never lie. I couldn't see it,but she already stole the bento from my hand. She ate it very... I think it will be dangerous for me if I said any non-delicacy things, so I will pass.

"Starting tomorrow, you two will start going to Seigo Academy as 2nd year junior high student, and starting now, this dorm officially open!"

If I remember it quietly, there's a thing I need to do.

I stretch my right hand to Yuri.

"Igashiro Kouta. Starting now will be room 002 resident. Nice to meet you, Yuri!"

I know that I told Kazuki-sensei that Yuri’s also become affected by human world’s drugs, but to be think that Kazuki-sensei would do this, it’s unexpected.

"Ah-! It's better to not do it. I don't want any scandal here."
"I won't do that even without your warning! You're the one who requested me to solve her problems in this world! For what did you make her faint?!"
"...a kid like you wouldn't understand! Since it’s my fault..."
"Eh?"

Then, why did you involve me in this plan even you know that I was a kid…?

Kazuki-sensei left without giving me a chance for asking affair. I don't know what she means by that, but I can ask Yuri later.

"Wait! I must bring Yuri to her room?! Isn't trespassing was criminal action? Moreover, where's the key?!"

Today I moved from Nagoya to Tokyo, to a dorm. Kazuki-sensei as the dorm supervisor. Karakuri Yuri as room 001 resident. And I, Igashiro Kouta as room 002 occupant. Starting now, this dorm is officially open.
