Letter to No One

I know you don't want to hurt me, but we're only given one life and I don't understand why we can't at least try. You act like you're at least attracted to me, but nothing ever happens. You flirt with me and it's confusing. I feel so much love for you, and I wish you could see it, or understand it. You won't accept it. But you have my heart, whether you want it or not. I'll spend the rest of my life trying to win yours. No one will come on comparison to you. No one will make me change the way I feel. I've loved you for a long time, and put up with a lot of crap. And still I kneel before you, palms open wide, ready to receive your heart. I feel as if there will never come a time when I can have your heart, because you don't love me. So I had to be cruel and tell you a lie, but please always know that I love you. Always.
