The breath of hope

The breath of hope

A Poem by Rhys Marchant

Bearing to breathe breathless hopes,

He chokes. Gasping gagging for air

But no one cares.

So he slowly dies into the darkness of his subconscious.

To live amongst the un-living living,

That scrounge beneath the shadows

Just to get through the day.

But is he really alive or is he dead?

Who knows?

Who cares?

I don’t, I got my own problems...
