Little girl, so much depends upon

Little girl, so much depends upon

"

Little girl, so much depends upon

that dazzling smile of yours,

like sunshine beams on dewy grass.

Little girl, so much depends upon

warm skin on cold skin,

warm milk on cold hearts,

especially if it’s paired with cookies.

Little girl, so much depends upon

pictures of your life,

and drizzling wet windowsills,

and Hamlet films and blankets and popcorn"

not too much butter, though.

Little girl, so much depends upon

that smile of yours that makes the sun glow with jealousy,

your hands that play and take away,

your eyes that read and books that smell,

and clacks of keyboards,

and music of keyboards.

Little girl, so much depends upon

the way you forgive but don’t forget,

the way a pursed mouth looks like a heart,

the way wind sounds between trees,

the way a willow tree look like it’s crying.

Give it a hug"

so much depends upon hugs.

Little girl, remember that

showing your heart rewards more than it hurts. Let the love and blood flow freely.
