Tron- film reviewA Story by richard hurndallnot movie- film!
I blame Christopher Nolan. For absolutely everything.
But enough about that-- Tron Legacy rocks. It totally rocks. After a year of soulless, joyless films such as Inception and Deathly Hallows (or Harry Potter and the Uneventful Camping Trip), Tron has lit up my world again. It rocks. Hell, I didn’t even like Avatar. I walked out when the blue animals starting having that orgy. The 3D visuals in Tron are breathtaking. There’s even a character called Tron in the film, but he’s only in it for a few seconds. That’s clever. I feel like buying some Tron action figures. It appeals to the twelve-year old in me. The music is amazing--it makes the film timeless. Everybody remembers the film Flash Gordon because of the soundtrack--Tron is as much of a guilty pleasure as Flash was. Michael Sheen is in Tron too. So is Jeff Bridges. He doesn’t even pretend to be anything other than The Dude in Lebowski. Daft Punk + The Dude + Motorcycles + Hot Girls = 5 star film. There is nothing wrong with having hot girls in a film. All the girls are putty in the male hero characters butch hands. That’s OK. If I were a girl, I’d be more offended by those girls who make occasional sassy comments, but end up being saved by the guy anyway. The girls in Tron are amazing. This could be the best film of all time. Tron. © 2010 richard hurndallReviews
