Jason Derulo

Jason Derulo

A Poem by richard hurndall

An artist who I rate

And can relate

To, is

Jason Derulo

His raps are

Without debate

The greatest mandate

For our generation

His 2009 debut single

‘Whatcha Say’

Was great

And the slightly less successful

‘In My Head’

Was also good

And if we should create

A military state

I would wish

Jason Derulo

To crush, and desecrate

The infidels

However

Have you noticed

That at the start of every song

Jason Derulo

Sings his name

Like it is part of the melody

When it obviously

Is not?

At first I thought my number one hero

Was suffering from an oversized ego

Especially when I found out

His debut album was also

Called ‘Jason Derulo’

By Jason Derulo

But then

I realised the truth

Jason Derulo

Sings his name at the start of every song

Because he is suffering from an early form of dementia

And sings ‘Jason Derulo’

At the start of every song

To help him remember

Who he is

Or perhaps

He has suffered a series of small strokes
