Silver.

Silver.

A Poem by Aehr

She is silver.
She is drops of water hanging from the web of a spider.
She is the eye of a hurricane.
She is sonorous winds chimes and the breeze after rain,
Fragrant with the scent of earth.
She is rain, she is ice.
She is frost on a mirror,
A whisper in winter,
Snow melting on pale, rosy cheeks.
She is glitter, she is joy.
She is the laughter of a child on a carnival ride.
She is silver.

I never expected "web of a spider" and "a child on a carnival ride" to appear in the same poem. I'm glad they did.

Your poem is a cool drink of water to me. I don't even care who "she" is, or that you didn't reveal. I'm just enthralled by your powers of observation & imagination. What a delightful way to describe anyone. Your imagery is flowing & vivid & spot-on. I love that you use descriptors that are not necessary "human" . . . for me, comparisons to natural phenomena is the best way to spark ideas in the reader's mind without making this poem so specific that it only pertains to one person.

A delightful description of someone who obviously means a great deal to you. Lydi**

Some beautiful imagery here. A very fresh, rather unique (in my experience at least) description of cold weather and colour! Keep up the good work :)
