Since Time ImmemorialA Poem by AehrSince time
immemorial he has waited, for his chance, his victory, his turn For his
chance to rule the world, for which many scream and yearn His sword
still gleaming silver, adorned by cobwebs and dust Waits to
bathe in blood again, for that is his master’s lust Since time immemorial, as a statue he has stayed And for his
time to come soon, since forever he has prayed For he has
been abandoned, cheated on and lied to And revenge
was running in his veins, blood-lust pure and true The woman he
once loved, cursed him, to be nothing but frozen stone As
misunderstanding tears was what it was in her eyes that shone His brother
had laughed wickedly, and as a statue, had let him stay And he lived
his years making merry before also fading away And so since
time immemorial, he has waited for his turn For his
chance to rule the world, for which many scream and yearn His sword
still gleaming silver, adorned by cobwebs and dust Waits to
bathe in blood again, for that is his master’s lust © 2013 Aehr
